(4) A written statement of your reasons for applying to the SIHS and

(5) An application fee of $45 (made out to “Summer Institute of Hispanic Studies”).


The SIHS maintains a system of rolling admissions; therefore priority is given to qualified early applicants. To encourage interested students to apply early, there are two admission periods:

(a) Early Acceptance: The deadline for receipt of all application materials is February 28, 2018. ($400 will be deducted from the regular fee.)

(b) Regular Admission: The deadline for receipt of all application materials is April 15, 2018.
